listen to music as you read. Not wanting to distract the
reader, we've chosen the serene, solo piano music of Paul Cantelon.
What do you think? We'd love to have your opinion.
Also, the text on all the pages is
now fixed, so that if you try changing your font size under

Attack Of The Alien Walking Fish
by Jonathan
Drake
TrueAuthority.com
When an angler in Maryland pulled up
an air-breathing, land-crawling, voracious predator this past
weekend, biologists started biting their nails.
Why? Because it's an alien
species, and once established can pose a huge threat to the
biodiversity and health of the nearby ecosystem. The
northern snakehead, as it is called, can breathe out of
water. Not only that, it can travel across land. If it
does so, it could reach the Little Patuxent River which is only 75
feet away from where the fish was caught, and thereby invade the
state's river system.
"Our biggest fear is that
there are more than one and they'll reproduce," says Bob
Lunsford, a biologist with the Maryland Department of Natural
Resources.
The fish is native to Africa and
Asia, and is as hardy as any catfish. Anglers who catch any
have been told to bleed them since the fish have the ability to
live days out of water. Like some horror movie, these
critters are wanted dead or alive.
Is it just me, or is the title of
this article far more interesting than the actual article?

Effects Of Galapagos Oil Spill Unknown
by Jonathan
Robison

A
fuel spill in Ecuador's world-renown Galapagos islands appears to
have not harmed the wildlife, but scientists are still worried
that it may do so in the near future.
A
relatively small barge spilled up to 2,000 gallons of diesel on
Thursday near Puerto Villamil, the second time in only 18 months
near the "enchanted islands."
"We
can't quantify the effects or tell which species are affected
until we analyze marine species, fish, mollusks, crustaceans, to
determine its real dimension," said Jaime Cevallos, a
representative for the Charles Darwin research station.
The
islands are equated with Charles Darwin, whose trip there in the
1800s inspired the his idea of the survival of the fittest.
Darwin noted the varieties of birds and iguanas, believing they
came from a common ancestor. Are they evidence for
evolution?
The
simple answer: No.
New information is not being created in the gene
pool; these are simply built-in adaptations
already present. This is the fatal flaw of Macro-Evolution,
the evolving of one kind of animal to another (i.e.
lizard to bird). It has never been observed, isn't
happening today, and didn't happen in
history. The
iguanas indeed had a common ancestor. An iguana. What
Darwin noticed were adaptations, not the progression of species with new
information being created. Furthermore, small changes among the iguanas can happen in a very short
period of time, not "millions" of years (see Jeff
Corwin At The Galapagos). It
is this fine border between Micro-evolution and
Macro-evolution that evolutionists commonly cross.
Adaptations have nothing to do with evolution . . .
indeed, they are polar opposites.
